Parte 3 - in camper in Turchia

Turkey like Iran?

Today we went to the meeting of an university students organisation to speak, as usual, about Youth in action programme. There were a lot of students from all around Turkey, and a lot of them was attending italian courses "because we like Italy". So I stimulated a lot of interest, and they invited us to lunch and to the final party which took place tonigh in a discobar. Discussing with some of them, i understood that they are angry with the EU whose behaviour is not clear about accepting or not Turkey: they say EU changes its mind every time and establishes new criteria just to postpone a decision. They think that soon Turkey will be tired to wait and will renounce itself. They asked me what problems do citizens of western Europe have with Turkey, and I said there is a lot of ignorance about its political economical and religious situation. A girl asked a question that made me reflect a lot: "do most of your people think that Turkey is like Iran?", and I had to answer that it's likely so.
