about cooperation

i do not think cooperation does not work in principle. i do think that international ngos and UN agencies are not able to do it as effectively as local associations can do. we have money, and that´s fundamental. but because we have the money we can not think we have, as a magic, all the other tools needed to manage in the proper way a cooperation project for the south from the north.
we do have to establish paritarian partnerships between our organisations (governative and non governative) and organisations from the south, through a mutual exchange of knowledge and culture.


THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART
we do have to strenghten and develop those forces of peace and viable growth that are struggling in the south against poverty and violence, but we do not have to take their place.


that´s why i think most of the people who come here to work as cooperants are surely unuseful and probably harmful (me included), as to the objective of creating a real dynamic of sustainable growth.
cooperation projects become than nothing more than a waste of money (the money of the projects goes everytime to the same little number of people, and there is any or little durable benefit for the targets written on the text of the project), as i´m seeing now here.
