local associations

here, at least in the areas of the country more calm (like bujumbura and gitega, where i'm working) it's full of local ngos and associations. maybe not all of them do a really good work, but the fact is that we do not even perveive their existence, because we write and then we manage the projects and even when we collaborate with some local association we are the ones who take the decisions. instead, we should give them the floor, because they know the context better than us and could organise their interventions in a more successfully way. i think that in the local civil society there are some energies which can help the burundi to improve its condition, but the type of cooperation we are carrying on makes us unable to see and help them.
