beach and volleyball and waves and guards
yesterday i went to the beach and for the first time since i'm here i swom in the lake tanganika. the water was warm and there were some waves. it was very funny (it has been some years now that i don't find waves when i go to the seaside in italia. the sea is always so flat. maybe it's a consequence of the global warming. i remember when i was younger there were days of waves:).
the rest of the afternoon i played volleyball, anf i had fun as well.
the beach is nice also because there are no people neither children of the street asking you money all the time (they keep them outside). it's like living in an other world, 500 metres large and 500 metres long, where the real burundi stays outside.
the only unusual you have private guards checking the situation all along the beach, and sitting next to you, always wearing their uniform, when you are taking the sun, like to protect you from an invasion from the sea, but they are silent and you get accustomed to.
